Fecal Coliform Removal
Print this page
Fecal coliform bacteria in wastewater presents a high risk of pathogenic diseases in humans including ear infections, dysentery, typhoid fever, viral and bacterial gastroenteritis, and hepatitis A.

Because fecal coliform is particulate, CoMag™ is particularly effective in removing it from any water stream including municipal wastewater. In tests of its effectiveness, CoMag™ has been shown to consistently achieve between 95 and 100% removal of coliforms regardless of the number of colonies/100mL in the system’s influent.

High removal levels enables the use of smaller disinfection systems thereby saving both capital and operating costs.
