Oil ladened influent wastewater
to CoMag |
Clear, clean effluent from CoMag |
In the oil fields, a by-product of the pumping process is oil laddened wastewater. Even after conventional oil-water separation processes, the oil remaining in the wastewater can exceed 1,000 mg/L. CoMag™ has demonstrated its ability to remove oil to non-detect levels as well as meet the strict contaminant removal requirements for re-injection and/or discharge to a water body.
In four months of pilot scale testing ofCoMag™ at four different sites within the Shengli oil fields of Sinopec, China's second largest oil producer, CoMag™ has reliably achieved high removal levels of oil and other critical contaminants. The result has been the production of clear water that meets the industry requirements for re-injection and the country’s increasingly strict standards for discharge.
A full scale, 1.2 MGD CoMag™ plant is now under construction for Sinopec; it is scheduled to come online in the summer of 2007.
